Conscious Kids Groups Come to Your Location

Hello Conscious Community!

Although I'm not running regular groups by myself at this point, there are some  new offerings.

I am available to bring either the four part series Emotional Mastery group, or one or more Mindfulness Sound Circles to Your location, and co-lead with You! 

I am also available for consultation or mini-workshops to share the techniques from the groups.

Also, a pdf of 10 lesson plans from the Mindfulness Sound Circle is available for FREE, on request.

Monthly Group Update

The monthly mindfulness sound circle is on pause. Please contact Heather if you have an interest in you and your child(ren) attending, and we will bring it back with enough numbers!

Referrals are still open for the Conscious Kids Emotional Mastery group, and again, when we have enough participants we will set the dates.

Try the first group for free!

Try out the monthly mindfulness sound circle for free, and see if it works for you and your child.  Just call ahead (360) 389-1050 or email soundingsanctuary@gmail.com, and let me know you're planning to attend. If you like the group and want to return, we'll book the one-time assessment and then you're all set up to attend future groups.

Monthly Mindfulness Sound Circle

The monthly mindfulness sound circle continues, ongoing the third Tuesday of each month:

Current Dates June 16, July 21, and August 18.

Time: 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

New Location: 851 Democrat Street, Bellingham, WA

Pre-requisite: We must have done the pre-group home visit in order for the child to attend. There is a one-time home visit assessment session fee on a sliding scale, to be negotiated upon referral.

Fee: The monthly group fee is $10 per child or $15 per family if more than one child is attending. Parents attend for free. While not required to stay for the group, we are finding that the materials learned in group translate to home and other environments most effectively if a parent "coach" attends the group.

If we have already done the home visit, please do RSVP via email at soundingsanctuary@gmail.com or phone 360-389-1050 to let me know if you and your child/children are coming to the group.

Monthly Mindfulness Sound Circle

This monthly group will have drum circle games, awareness, breathing, relaxation and creative movement!

This group for kids ages 5 - 12 will be a combination of fun sound circle and introducing or reviewing ideas that are amplified in the 4 week series group. This monthly group can stand on it's own - someone may not want the actual 4 week group; or while waiting for the next one, or after taking the group.

I'll set the dates for the next 4 week series group when I have enough interest expressed to go ahead.

Dates for Spring 2015: the 3rd Tuesday of the month on March 17, April 21 and May 19. Since the 17th of March is Saint Patrick's Day, I'm hoping everyone can wear a lot of green! 

Time: 4:00 - 5:00 p.m.

Location: Upstairs in playroom 2, at the Bellingham Unitarian Fellowship, 1207 Ellsworth Street, Bellingham. There is parking in front of the entrance on Ellsworth, and in the lot directly across the street from the entrance.

After seeing how well it worked to have parental attendance in the winter 4 session group, I am inviting parents to attend the first monthly group (March 17) to help the kids get comfortable, and check it out. Future groups may have a bit of both - some time with just the kids and then some time at the end to show parents what they are learning. Stay tuned for more details.

Sliding Fee Scale Now Available

Referrals are currently being accepted for the winter 2015 session of the Conscious Kids Emotional Mastery Group. A few adjustments have been made. There is now a sliding fee scale which can be negotiated at the time of the first in-home interview. Also, the follow up in-home interview is now optional.
